For as long as I can remember, Fresno has had an Advertising Federation (FAF) Chapter of the larger American Advertising Federation (AAF) organization. The AAF was established in 1905 and includes members across all advertising disciplines and career levels. They assist in career advancement through providing connections, and they celebrate this ever-changing, amazing industry. However, through lack of participation and member commitment, the Fresno Advertising Federation has slowly declined. This has been unfortunate for our local advertising industry especially because one of the benefits of the FAF was that it held an annual creative recognition event called the ADDYs. From ad agencies to in-house marketing departments to non-profits, all would submit the best of our work to compete in a multitude of categories.
In 2019, the FAF didn’t offer the ADDY awards, but JP was notified that the Sacramento Advertising Federation would be allowing regional submissions! So, we stepped up and submitted several pieces of our best work. Even though we were up against several larger agencies we’d never competed with before, we were confident in our team’s talent and hard work. As it turned out, we were right! JP is honored to have earned ONE gold and THREE silver Regional ADDY Awards. (One of the most exciting elements of this competition is that JP was the only Fresno agency to be honored with 2019 SAF ADDYs!)
