Morning Tips for a Successful Day

Successful days… Aren’t they the best? Better yet, don’t you wish you could have those get to work early, accomplish all my tasks, run all my errands, nothing can ruin my mood type of day all the time?

Unfortunately, we can’t control every aspect of our day, BUT we can properly prepare ourselves for a success morning. Which will evidently help generate an overall successful day. Here are 5 tips that will help lead to a successful day.

Get Plenty of Beauty Rest

Would you have thought a successful day actually starts the night before? Well it’s true. Over the years, I have found that getting a good night’s rest contributes to my energy and attitude throughout the day.

Think about it. When you get enough sleep, you are less likely to wake up cranky resulting in a better mood and a better mood drastically increases your chances of being productive.

Wake Up Early

Now I realize this is much easier said than done, trust me. I still struggle with this (and I’m an early bird). However, making an effort to wake up early has its benefits.

For starters, it allows you to take your time getting ready. Nobody likes to be rushed especially in the morning. So instead of waking up an hour before work and rushing to get ready, I recommend you try waking up 1 1/2 – 2 hours before you have to be at work or wherever it is you need to be.

This extra time will allow you to make yourself a priority by focusing on personal interests such as hobbies, reading, etc.

Exercise and/or Meditate

Many of us already know the benefits of exercising, but exercising first thing in the morning is a whole new world. Doing some type of physical activity before you start your day not only increases your mood, but it also energizes your body for the day ahead.

On the days I don’t exercise in the morning, I try to take 5 – 10 minutes to meditate. Please note meditation doesn’t have to be this picture-perfect time where you hear birds chirping and see the sun come out. Meditation can be as simple as blocking out all your thoughts to calm yourself down by focusing on your breathing.

Say Positive Affirmations Out Loud

This is one of my favorite things to do in the morning. I am a firm believer in speaking what you want into existence. That’s why I wake up each morning and speak out loud what I want to accomplish for the day. Not only do I verbally express what I desire, but also physically envision it while I speak. It’s crucial to feed your mind positive thoughts and actions as it has been proven to help boost your confidence and outlook.

Feed Your Body a Nourishing Breakfast

We have all heard the saying, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” A well-balanced breakfast with the essential nutrients and protein is just as important.

Your body will absorb the nutrients from the food and produce the necessary energy for you to conquer the day. Two of my favorite quick and simple breakfasts are chocolate plant-based protein oatmeal and avocado egg toast with salsa.

You are now ready to walk out that door and crush the day ahead! I hope this blog helps prep you for future success and thanks for reading this!

Until next time,
