It’s amazing to see the evolution of a business in the world of social media. It used to be a simple way for a brand to get its name out there and inform people of its product(s). Today, if a brand wishes to increase business and truly stand out in the realm of social media, it must bring life to the brand itself.
You might be asking yourself, “how exactly does a brand, ‘come to life,’ through social media?” Don’t worry! That’s what I’m here to shed some light on. In this blog, I’ll use the work we’ve done with one of our clients, Raisels, to help explain the certain foundations necessary for your brand to, “come to life,” and excel in social media.
Develop a Persona
I cannot express enough how important it is for businesses to not only be on social media, but to engage with their audiences as well. This is an excellent way to start bringing life to your brand, because it doesn’t just simply exist on social media, it’s actually interacting with people! Now, before you go liking and commenting on your fans’ posts, there are a few things you’ll need to master.
- Establishing your brand’s voice
- Determining the, “character,” you wish to put forth
- Being consistent
With Raisels, we work closely with our client to ensure the voice of the product matches what the product is, quirky and different. From there, we can build content that supports the client’s vision for the product. What makes it a solid presence in the social media world is that this voice does not vary, whether it’s with a post, like, comment or share.
See what I mean? Consistency is crucial.
Try Something New
Typically, the best content on social media is the type that people have never seen before. The key is to not be afraid to try new things (so long as it fits within your brand’s persona). We try a variety of ideas to create content. After all, with more than 35,000 followers on Facebook, it’s going to take more than just one form of messaging to resonate with each of our followers.
Use Social Media to Drive Business
Once you have a solid understanding of who your brand will be on social media and what the goals are, it’s time to tie it all together and drive up your business! Social media advertising is a great tool to execute this (learn how to advertise like a boss here). Just remember to be consistent with your brand’s persona and content practices, even when it comes to the call-to-action content. Our team was able to do just that for Raisels with its Halloween special. We sold out of product in less than 24 hours!
