The JP Team Is Growing – Say Hello to Briana

Our team keeps expanding and we could not be more excited! We would like to give a warm welcome to our newest team member, Briana Jessen!

With more than 10 years of experience in the media industry, Briana offers a unique insight and strategy for her clients with her wealth of knowledge into how media vendors operate internally. During her time as a traffic manager for a regional media company, Briana oversaw every single client, managed inventory, and placed spots into programming. We’re very excited to have her on our team!

We asked her some fun questions to get to know her better and here is what she had to say!

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

After spending several years in the television traffic industry, I’m excited to see things from a whole new perspective.

What celebrity would you like to meet at Starbucks for a cup of coffee and why?

Brandon Boyd from Incubus.  Besides being the singer in my favorite band, he seems like an interesting guy.

Before working at JP, what was the most unusual or interesting job you ever had?

When I was in high school I wrote for the Fresno Bee’s Teen Press Corps.  It was cool to see myself published in the newspaper!

If you had to describe yourself as an animal, which one would it be?

What animal sits back and observes their surroundings?  I would be that one!

What did you want to be when you were a child?

I remember as a kindergartener I wanted to be a mail carrier and a taxi driver during the day, and a singer at night…I have NO idea where I got those from!

What would you sing at Karaoke night and why?

My singing voice didn’t really cooperate with my childhood career goals!  I’ll stick to singing at the top of my lungs at concerts where I’m drowned out by the crowd!

What advice would you give yourself when you were first starting your career?

Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself.  Taking the easy road is tempting, but it’s not always right.  It’s okay to be nervous about change, it’s how you’ll know you’ve made the right choice.
