Client Spotlight: Eating Disorder Center of Fresno

Eating disorders. Understandably, it is not an easy conversation to start with a loved one or to have with yourself. When we were approached by the owners of Eating Disorder Center of Fresno ((Link to website)) at the end of 2014, they wanted to add a spark to that conversation through a new look and increased media awareness.

One of the most exciting parts of my job as an account manager is, whether it is an existing or new client, hearing the goals they want accomplished. Why, you ask? It is now in my hands to solve a problem in a creative and unique way.

According to the National Eating Disorders Association, approximately half a million teens struggle with eating disorders or disordered eating. As a parent, those numbers are overwhelming.

We sat down with the client, listened to their needs, visited their office, and compared what they’ve done in the past to what they were doing now. Most importantly, we asked a lot of questions.

Our plan for a new look, messaging, and a way to connect with their target demographic could help change someone’s life.

As with any client, there is a budget and a limit to what you can achieve within that budget. It is our job to figure out how to effectively utilize that budget to reach the target as best we can and grow the business.

What We Accomplished

New Branding – Utilizing our expertise in rebranding, our creative team designed a new logo, outdoor signage, brochures and website. Our photographer was able to build a comprehensive catalogue of timeless photos.

Outreach & Traditional Media– Our PR efforts for our client went full speed during National Eating Disorder Week. We were able to help shed light on eating disorders after meeting with reporters from across the Central Valley.  We also implemented a strategic radio campaign developed to bring their message to the right audiences.

To bring in two new patients to the Eating Disorder Center of Fresno would be our measure of success for this campaign. Since the start of our campaign, we have brought in seven new patients! We could measure this as a great return on investment, but the bigger story here is that seven people are able to get the support and help that they need.
